COGNTIVE TREKS
Here’s how the story goes — and trust me, my family knows this all too well. We hike. A lot. Like, it’s pretty much our go-to family vacation. National parks? We’ve been to a ton of them.
And while most people might just keep walking, we stop. Constantly. Every few steps, I’m like, “Oh, look at that rock!” or “Wait, check out this weird plant!” And of course, there’s always a photo involved because I have to capture the moment. Cue my kids rolling their eyes.
It’s become this running family joke — whenever we go on a hike, they brace themselves for endless nature facts and photo ops. I can’t help it! Science and nature are just my thing. So, when it came time to name this little business of mine, “Cognitive Treks” felt right. It’s a nod to all those hikes where we stop, learn, laugh, and maybe take way too many pictures.
And yes, my kids totally still make fun of me for it. But hey, that’s kind of the point.
Who WE ARE
Hi and Welcome!
I am the founder of Cognitive Treks. My background as an experienced science educator lead me to reach to have a greater impact. I am also a dedicated coach working to help teachers become their best. I combine my love for teaching science with my passion for exploring the great outdoors.
Much of my inspiration for new lessons comes from my travels where I capture the beauty of this world through photography. These experiences fuel my creativity, helping to design lessons that bring the wonders of science to life for students.
The unique combination of real-world teaching experience and creative lesson design ensures that every product is not only effective but also enjoyable for both teachers and students.
